The Hon Scott Morrison MP
Treasurer
Dear Mr Morrison
Thank you for your unsolicited ‘mid-campaign’
report.
Allow me to make comment as a moral conservative and a traditional coalition
voter. Indeed, as a younger man I worked as an organiser for the Country Party.
I am disappointed at the complete lack of address of the culture wars in the coalition campaign.
As you are well aware the Greens/Labor grouping fully intend to implement their social policy agenda once in power. You know as well I do what this agenda is and what it entails. You know as well as I do its serious ramifications for Australia. With the notable
exception of a handful of courageous parliamentarians not a murmur of dissent do I hear from the coalition. Certainly nothing from its leadership.
Whilst I acknowledge the economy is crucially important, so is social policy. The coalition’s long neglect of the culture wars has created the social milieu of today - a milieu that has allowed the once
unthinkable to happen. You have, in very large part, helped create an electorate that has no spiritual values, no direction and thus unwittingly accepting of both quasi-Marxist and post-modernist social policies.
And you are offering the electorate the “same old same old”. I for one am not buying it.
For the coalition to regain any credibility in my demographic and electoral cohort, it needs to highlight the social disaster that would be consequence
of Labor/Green social policy. It needs to highlight the difference between coalition and Labor/Green social policy. In short - traditional values vis a vis the social experimentalism of the Labor/Greens grouping. Equate the two – because in
truth they are the same.
I am not an extremist from the ‘so-called’ religious/nationalist/bigoted
right or however the Gauleiters of the Left choose to besmirch us. I am an ordinary Christian, reasonably intelligent, a moral conservative, a returned serviceman and an historian. In this light, your social relativism has truly lost my support. Start
to speak for me and you may regain my trust. Pro tem I shall continue to support those who do speak for me.
Although I do not expect a reply, such would be nice. To illustrate my confidence in your ignore, I am copying this to a number of my friends in Australia and the UK. I am also posting it on Facebook, Twitter and on a Website.
I shall of course be more than happy to broadcast your favourable reply[?]. Thus may your sincerity be demonstrated.
I am
Yours in sincerity
